Full-Blood
Boer
Does |
|
 |
|
Pine Log Creek Farms has about
20 Full Blood Boer Does that we raise, show, and just enjoy.
All of our goats have very distinct personalities. We call each one
by name (and not numbers)
and can tell you lots of stories about what they like and don't like!
Here are a few of our favorites and a brief description of what makes
them so special. |

GAYLA
Gayla is our newest family member. She
arrived in Pine Log on November 10, 2007, coming from Martin Farms in
Conersville, TN. We purchased Gayla at the 2007 Winner's Circle Sale.
Gayla is currently bred to "Bingo's
Superman (Ennobled)" and is due to have Christmas kids! She is really a
gentle doe, and will be joining Addie on the show circuit in 2008. Gayla
has already passed her visual inspection with ABGA.
J&J1 Prime Time's Gayla SA has
genetics that include 2DOX Prime Time, P/H Bingo (Ennobled) and
2SIS 324M (Ennobled), Mojo Magic (Ennobled), and CNR Pistolero SA.

KELLY
Kelly came to our farm from Texas in
November 2006. I first met Kelly when I visited Texas this fall
and when I found out she was for sale I just knew I had to have her. I
went to North Carolina a week later to purchase her in a sale!
Kelly is a yearling now and is a
lot of fun to watch. She wants to know you are watching her when she
plays.
Kelly was purchased from Tollie Jordaan's herd and has genetics from
EGGSFile, DSM Kadicia, Bingo (Ennobled), Classic Tool (Ennobled),
and many other great names.
Kelly is the proud mother of Addie's
two time GRAND CHAMPION wether - Backwards, and his winning twin sister
Perfect 10.

NIKKI
This is BIG2 Nikki who moved to our farm in August
2006 from Ohio.
Nikki is a sweet young doe that has quickly become a pet. She is
amazingly gentle and loves attention.
Nikki and Addie placed 3rd in the breeding doe (under 12 months)
class at the AU Block and Bridle show just one week after we purchased
her. Nikki had never been on a lead or in a show, but acted like she
belonged in the show ring! |

ELLEN
Ellen came to our farm from Texas in
November 2006. Jane is pictured to the side. The two are best friends!
Ellen is quiet, shy almost, and seems to be the "wise one." Addie
named her after Grandma because of her peaceful demeanor.
Ellen was purchased from Tollie
Jordaan's herd and Don Smith was her breeder. Her genetics include many
from DSM lines including DSM Bear who is an EGGSFile son. |
 |
SHELBY
Shelby is a very friendly
doe that came to Pine Log from Shelby, North Carolina. (Hence, her
name!)
Her breeder was Don Smith, and she was
sired by DSM Sir Edmond (Ennobled) and has the EGGS-RYALS Magnum
(Silver-Plat. Ennobled), EGGSTREME (Ennobled), EGGSELLENT (Ennobled Gold
Dam), TOP GUN No.2 (Ennobled), EGGSFILE (Ennobled), and many other great
names from the DSM lines in her pedigree.
Shelby will do great things for our
breeding program. She is the dam to Festus and Little Brother. Both are
great looking young bucks! Festus earned 8th place in the 0-3 month old
FB Bucks class at the International Boer Goat Association US Nationals
Show in June!

SAMMIE JO
Sammie Jo also came to our farm from
Texas in November 2006. I met Sammie Jo and Kelly when I
visited Texas this fall. She is a beautiful yearling doe, very feminine
and graceful - just perfect to be a southern farm girl!
Sammie's breeder was Paul Payne and her genetics include great animals
from Paul's herd as well as P/H Bingo (Ennobled)and YABU (Ennobled). |
 |
RAISIN
Raisin is a beautiful solid red doe
that has become a big pet. She loves to eat out of your hand - no matter
what it might be, feed, chips, cheese crackers, fruit loops - she will
try anything!
We purchased Raisin from BZI Farms as
a yearling and she had her first set of kids this spring.
She has SGF L109 "Taebo" *Ennobled and
NBBG Renior *Ennobled in her pedigree. She is also the granddaughter of
our senior doe "Four Farms Hazel Nut." Raisin's dam was a solid black
doe and she was sired by a solid red buck!

MICHELLE
Michelle is a very special young doe!
She was a gift to Addie from our dear friend AL Paul of Aubrey Texas. AL
and Addie have a deal - Addie raises Michelle and breeds her to a buck
then give AL a kid out of Michelle! It's Addie's first business deal and
something she is very proud of!
Addie has started walking Michelle
(and feeding her fruit loops) in order to get her ready for the show
ring! The two are getting along just great and I'm sure they will do
wonderful things together!
Michelle came all the way to Pine Log
from Red River Boer Goats in Aubrey, Texas in July 2007.

 |
These three girls are happy to be home
after a show in Crossville, Tennessee! They had no interest in posing
for pictures today - the hay was just to tempting!
They are three of Addie's young show does
- from left to right: "PLCF Addie's Sugarland Delight", "PLCF Boston"
and "River's Michelle"
We have recently added a few percentage does
to Addie's show string. I
will introduce them here soon. |
