"Paladin" is our new herd sire. He came to Pine Log from Fern Hollow Farm. His pedigree is loaded with 2Dox Luger; RRD Ruger*Ennobled; RRD Brass Shot *Ennobled; Bingo *Ennobled; Bingo Star *Ennobled; RRD S900*Ennobled;RRD Red Gauge *Ennobled; TCI W211*Ennobled; TW1W501*Ennobled and Rawhide *Ennobled.

In staying with the theme, we decided to name Z9094 Paladin after the famous 1950s TV character of Paladin. Paladin was a man of culture, West Point-educated (he served as an Union officer in the Civil War), literate, with a taste for fine food and clothing and the theatre. He dressed like a dandy and made his headquarters in the ritzy Hotel Carlton in San Francisco. His calling card featured a picture of the white knight in chess (a paladin is a knight renowned for his heroism and chivalry) and the inscription from which the show drew its title: "Have Gun, Will Travel...Wire San Francisco."

Since this young buck is truly a "dandy" the name is fitting!

We will begin breeding with Paladin in mid July 2010 for our winter kids!
